Reuters reports that Belgium's largest cable operator by subscribers Telenet announced yesterday that it is not seeking to make any significant acquisitions in the near future, effectively ruling itself out of making a bid for KPN's Belgian business BASE. The cableco had previously submitted a non-binding offer for BASE, the country’s third largest mobile network operator, according to people familiar with the situation
