Telecom and Unicom look for an early end to anti-trust investigation

China Unicom and China Telecom have reportedly submitted applications to China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to end its anti-monopoly investigations, according to national news agency Xinhua. As previously reported by CommsUpdate, the two telecoms giants, which represented almost 90% of China’s broadband market at end-September 2011, were found to be abusing their dominant positions by practicing price discrimination
