US cableco Comcast has reported a 54.7% year-on-year rise in fourth quarter revenue to USD15.04 billion in the three months ended 31 December 2011, from USD9.72 billion a year earlier. CAPEX for the period meanwhile decreased by 12.4% y-o-y to USD1.3 billion, reflecting lower spending on customer premises equipment. *Comcast added 336,000 high speed internet customers in Q4 2011, ending the year with 18.15 million, up 6.8% from 16.99 million a year earlier.
