P&T Luxembourg has announced plans to launch ultra-fast broadband access in the country using fibre-optic technology from Alcatel-Lucent. The new network is designed to enhance the availability and quality of a wide array of broadband services and content for P&T Luxembourg’s subscribers, from streaming video, music and social networking for consumers to a variety of services for businesses such as videoconferencing and cloud-based productivity tools. Serge Eiffes, head of the Fixed Access Network Department at P&T Luxembourg said: ‘Today, Luxembourg has an important role in the European and international financial and business system.
