A row over UGX136 billion (USD57.96 million) between South Africa-backed MTN Uganda and the Ugandan tax watchdog, the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is due for arbitration next week, reports the Daly Monitor. The URA has accused MTN of not paying tax liability incurred between 2003 and 2007 relating to brand development, pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) tax on bonuses and penalties.
