Cyfrowy Polsat buys ipla, teams up with Polkomtel

Polish satellite internet service provider (ISP), IPTV operator and satellite TV provider, Cyfrowy Polsat has snapped up Polish-language online video service ipla. According to Broadband TV News, Cyfrowy Polsat paid PLN150 million (USD47.9 milllion) for ipla, which offers 20 TV Channels, and video on demand (VoD) services to around 1.4 million customers. *Cyfrowy Polsat will also be partnering with Polkomtel, both controlled by Polish billionaire Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, to sell joint offerings, reports Telecompaper.
