Three UK outlines plans to boost mobile broadband speed

The UK’s smallest mobile network operator, Hutchison 3G UK, which trades under the ‘Three’ banner, has announced that it is in the process of finalising its upgrade process for the introduction of higher-speed HSPA+ technology. According to the operator, it is already offering theoretical downlink speeds of up to 42Mbps, thought to be via Dual Carrier HSPA+(DC-HSPA) technology, as a test along a small part of the M3 corridor and south west London, with a nationwide rollout expected to commence ‘later this summer’
