Bell served with CAD100m ‘class action’

Bell Mobility and its parent company, BCE, have been served with a CAD100 million (USD99.8 million) lawsuit, which alleges the expiry dates on its pre-paid wireless services are illegal. As posted on Canada Newswire, the lawsuit alleges that Bell systemically breaches its contracts with its pre-paid wireless customers by seizing credit balances, and engages in ‘unfair practices’ which breach consumer protection laws.
