Swedish telecoms giant Tele2 has confirmed that it is conducting an internal investigation into accusations that an employee of its 51%-owned Kazakh subsidiary breached confidential data belonging to mobile rival K’cell. Tele2 has admitted that the individual involved acquired data concerning the ‘market strategies’ of leading mobile operator by subscribers K’cell via ‘illegal means’.
