Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reports that Viva Bahrain – which launched a small-scale Long Term Evolution (LTE) network for users of the Bahrain City Centre leisure complex in Manama at the start of this month – will launch a full commercial 4G mobile broadband service by March or April. Viva staff at the City Centre sales outlet explained to BNA that the company, a subsidiary of Saudi Telecom Company (STC), had begun a marketing campaign for LTE, and as part of the programme the ‘showcase’ network was intended to familiarise the Bahraini public with the 4G technology in advance of its commercial launch
