Telefonica Brazil has posted net profit of BRL1.46 billion (USD845 million) for the three months ended 31 December 2011, an increase of 9.8% quarter-on-quarter, but down 1.3% from the BRL1.48 billion reported in the year-ago quarter on higher operating costs. Revenues climbed 4.5% to BRL8.60 billion from BRL8.23 billion in Q4 2010.
