France Telecom-Orange (FT-Orange) is revamping its ‘Orange TV’ service so that it uses the same software platform across ADSL, fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and satellite infrastructure. FT-Orange is using a unified service platform from Viaccess to serve its 4.37 million pay-TV customers across France. The process to transfer customers to the new unified system began in November last year and so far 400,000 users have been moved across.
