Filipino newspaper the Business Mirror writes that the country’s dominant operator, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), is looking to take a roughly 90% share of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) segment within the next two years. To date, it has signed up approximately 70,000 SME users to its SME Nation packages, equivalent to a market share of between 65% and 70%, said Ameel Azurin, PLDT’s assistant VP and head of marketing.
