Polish cellcos Aero2 and Polkomtel, both owned by media mogul Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, have inked a five-year infrastructure sharing agreement, reports local news source Rzeczpospolita. The deal will see Aero2 pay PLN144 million (USD46.36 million) over the duration of the contract, with the two companies sharing use of wireless networks and backhaul infrastructure. *According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, at the end of December 2011 Polkomtel led the Polish wireless market, with an estimated 15.25 million subscribers giving it a market share of 29.8%, just ahead of its nearest rival Orange Poland which at that date represented 28.6% of the sector.
