ANCOM receives five applications for mobile spectrum auction

Romania’s National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) says five firms submitted applications to take part in its forthcoming mobile spectrum auction by the 13 August deadline. The regulator is conducting its largest ever single allocation of frequencies in the tender, which is due to start on 10 September. The bandwidths are being made available for the provision of wireless services covering the period 2013-2029 and include spectrum in the 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz and 2600MHz bands.
