The government of Belize is not liable to pay the Michael Ashcroft group of companies damages of more than USD40 million related to the renationalisation of Belize Telemedia Limited (formerly Belize Telecommunications Limited), the Court of Appeal ruled last Wednesday as reported by Belizean newspaper Amandala.
