Hong Kong revamps regulator in April; targets 2.5GHz auction in 1Q13

Hong Kong’s Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA) has announced that on 1 April 2012 the Communications Authority Ordinance will come into effect, establishing a combined telecoms and broadcasting regulator. The Office of the Communications Authority will be formed by merging OFTA and the Broadcasting Division of the Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority
