Russia’s Vimpelcom has received regulatory clearance to sell a 64% controlling stake in digital TV operator Kolangon-Optim, having acquired the company via the 2007 acquisition of fixed line unit Golden Telecom. Telecompaper reports that Russian competition regulator FAS has cleared Tiverton Ventures, registered in the Virgin Islands, to purchase 100% of the terrestrial TV (DVB-T) operator.
