B-Mobile launches 3G in Phuentsholing

According to Kuensel Online, Bhutanese cellco B-Mobile has extended its third-generation network to a second town, Phuentsholing, which is located in the south of the country. The border town is situated opposite Indian counterpart Jaigaon, and cross-border trade has reportedly resulted in a thriving local economy. B-Mobile parent company Bhutan Telecom has reportedly constructed four 3G base transceiver stations (BTS) in Phuentsholing, costing BTN5 million (USD99,338) apiece.
